OG's Against Violence marched through Syracuse’s west side on Sunday to share their outrage against the recent incidents of violence in the city.
This was their second march in recent weeks. Sunday's march organized after 12 people were shot in the city overnight, including nine who were shot at a gathering at a parking lot on Marcellus Street and Wyoming Street.
"To hear that it was kind of shocking," group founder Clifford Ryan said. "At the same time, my thoughts are that it was tragic that we can’t have a gathering without individuals doing something like that."
The group wants to show support for the families affected as well as the communities where violence occurs.
"We have to stop asking the question of why and do something about it," Ryan said.
